🌟 About Me — My Experience in Early Childhood Education 🌟
I bring over 7 years of experience working in accredited Early Childhood Education (ECE) learning centers, including programs recognized by Texas School Ready.
I have spent 7 years working exclusively with children who have special needs, supporting them from early childhood through 5th grade with patience, understanding, and specialized strategies to help them grow and succeed.
I also served 3 years as a high school ECE mentor and lead teacher, guiding future educators while leading a mixed-age classroom of children ages 2–5.

Meet the Founder
Hello and welcome! I’m Miss Adams, founder of Miss Adams House Childcare.
Born and raised in Texas, I bring a little Southern hospitality into everything I do—warm welcomes, strong values, meaningful relationships, and a genuine love for children and families.
Before opening Miss Adams House, I spent years working with children in both childcare and the public school system. Throughout that experience, I saw a growing challenge: as group sizes increased, it became harder to meet each child’s individual needs. In busy environments, children who needed extra support, consistency, or connection often got overlooked—not because they weren’t capable, but because the system didn’t always allow space for slower pacing, deeper relationships, and individualized attention.
I also noticed that many behaviors labeled as “challenging” were often communication. Children were responding to inconsistency, overwhelm, or unmet developmental needs in the only ways they knew how. That realization shaped everything I believe about early childhood education today.
That’s why I created Miss Adams House Childcare.
Miss Adams House is built on the belief that children thrive when they are truly seen, heard, and understood. By keeping enrollment numbers low and group sizes small, I can provide intentional, individualized learning experiences that support each child’s growth academically, socially, emotionally, and developmentally.
Here, we focus on consistency, structure, and connection—because children feel safest and learn best when they know what to expect and trust the adults around them. At the same time, we protect what matters most: a joyful, natural childhood filled with play, curiosity, creativity, movement, and exploration.
My teaching philosophy blends the best of both Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches. I value Montessori’s structure, independence, and practical life skills, while also embracing Reggio’s creativity, child-led exploration, and hands-on discovery. Together, they allow me to create a balanced environment where children are guided, but free to learn in ways that feel natural and meaningful.
At Miss Adams House, we believe:
• Small groups create stronger connections and better learning outcomes
• Consistency builds confidence and positive behavior
• Children learn best through play, exploration, and real-life experiences
• Every child deserves individualized attention and support
• A calm, structured environment helps children thrive emotionally and socially
• Families and educators should work together as a team
My teaching style is firm yet nurturing. I am intentional about setting clear expectations while also leading with warmth, patience, and joy. Respect is at the center of everything we do—not just obedience, but mutual respect, self-respect, and respect for others.
At Miss Adams House, we are not just building a program—we are building a community. A place where children are free to be children, where families feel supported, and where learning happens naturally through meaningful experiences and strong relationships.
Thank you for being here. I can’t wait to grow, learn, and build something beautiful with you and your child.
